During the consultation, the doctor spent quite some time talking to me, asking in detail about my age, skin type, and previous treatments. Then she used a pen to mark the areas she would analyze on my face, explaining the ratio between my facial structure and skin thickness, and clarifying why certain procedures were suitable for me while others weren’t. She handled the procedures with great precision, making sure not to over-apply treatment to any one area and keeping everything even. Each part of my face was treated evenly, and after the procedure, I compared both sides — they were perfectly symmetrical with no unevenness. The waiting area in the clinic had sofas and K-pop music playing, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Overall, it was satisfactory; I’ll wait and see how the results turn out in the future.

I was also curious about not having to wear glasses, so I went to a nearby ophthalmologist. I didn't know anything about LASIK, so I just went for a consultation. The director promised to help me eliminate presbyopia, so I trusted him and went ahead and had the procedure done. After the surgery, my presbyopia suddenly became severe, so I inquired again. They told me to just inject saline solution every day. I tried that for several months, but it didn't improve at all. My presbyopia got worse, and it actually became more uncomfortable. After some research, I learned that LASIK is absolutely not recommended for people in their 50s, and that contact lens implants are the way to go. Furthermore, the director said a month later, "If you gain one thing, you lose another." I was dumbfounded. So I just gave up and just lived with the discomfort, wearing reading glasses and using my smartphone and laptop. But today, out of the blue, I got a KakaoTalk message telling me to come in for a regular checkup since it's been a year. I told them that my presbyopia has gotten worse and it was uncomfortable, and they said that it was all listed as a side effect on the consent form for the surgery... I'm really speechless... It feels like they're just looking at patients as money, and I feel really bad...
